Crag House Farm is a farm with a difference.
It is the home of Caring For Life, a Christian charity established in 1987 to "Share
the Love of Jesus" with homeless, hurting people.
Their purpose is to offer hope,
a new family and a new way of life for damaged and vulnerable people whose lives
have been painful and aimless.
At Caring For Life there are two supported homes —
Tindall House for eight men and Wendy Margaret Home for eight women.
The Trust has
a team of five Floating Support Workers who work with people living independently.
Their aim is to befriend long-term and to help people face life with a new confidence.
Caring
For Life's daytime projects provide many different opportunities.
Being unable to
read is terribly disabling. A group of volunteers help people to acquire these vital
skills.
Locked up emotions can be carefully drawn out in drama. Communication can
be tackled and confidence built.
Caring for animals and knowing they depend on you
for food makes you feel important and can transform lives, giving a sense of purpose
to abandoned, hurting and often angry people.
At Crag House Farm a range of therapeutic
projects is offered including: animal care, horticulture, conservation, woodwork,
adult literacy, IT skills, drama, music and art.
