Two years have now passed since moving to Bawtry to work with Pioneers. It is here
that God has developed in me a desire to be involved in church planting amongst the
unreached, although I have no idea what that will look like. I have been asking Him
over the past year what the next steps are to move toward that and as many of you
have already heard, he has answered my prayers.
I am going in September to start
a three year degree in Youth and Community Work with Practical Theology. The course
is studied alongside a church placement. I really feel that this is the best next
step towards my goal as it allows me to study the Bible and gives me experience of
working in a church context.
I am praying that this course will grow and stretch
me in my faith, especially as I work with the youth to develop their faith and reach
youth in the community. I hope that the experiences I will have over the next three
years will help prepare me for serving as a part of a church planting team. Honestly,
I am quite scared about the next steps and sometimes wonder am I crazy leaving a
job I love so much, to do something that I don’t know what it will be like! But I
have a peace that this is what He wants me to do. I would love if you could pray
that I will faithfully follow the path He has carved out for me.
